Seventy men sit in a circle around an open flame on the Uluwatu cliff and chant cak-cak-cak until the sun is gone. The performance is a 1930s Bali Hindu invention — no instruments, no microphones, the Indian Ocean as the backstage. It only happens here, only at sunset.
